ENPRO in the Community
ENPRO has been in Newburyport for over 25 years and takes pride in helping improve the community in this area, as well as those in which it has expanded in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Supported by a company culture that encourages community involvement, ENPRO employees and management donate time and resources to a number of causes.
Portland Sea Dogs
For the five seasons, ENPRO has sponsored the “Clean-up Hitter” for the Portland Sea Dogs, a minor-league baseball affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Each season, ENPRO donates $50 for every home run by a Portland Sea Dogs clean-up hitter, with proceeds going to the Maine Children’s Cancer Program (MCCP). In total, ENPRO has donated about $6000 to this deserving organization, which provides comprehensive treatment for children diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders.
Salvation Army
ENPRO Employees contribute on a regular basis to local Salvation Army chapters, helping serve food and perform additional tasks to improve the lives of community citizens. Once per month, the company prepares and serves meals to over 50 homeless men and women. Members of the ENPRO team also volunteer each holiday season as bell ringers to collect donations.
Newburyport Rail Trail
As an environmental company concerned with improving natural resources, ENPRO is proud to be a sponsor and active contributor to the Clipper City Rail Trail Project. The Clipper City Rail Trail creates a safe, attractive and vibrant new public space that runs a little over a mile from the MBTA Commuter Rail Station to the Merrimack River. The 10-foot wide asphalt trail provides the public with a safe and appealing off-road corridor for walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and other non-motorized users. ENPRO provided funds to help initiate construction of the trail, and continues to provide funding support as well as keeping an assigned portion of the trail clean of debris and snow, kept up for the enjoyment of all.
Dana-Farber
ENPRO proudly supports the mission of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute by donating to their cause on a regular basis. By supporting the institute’s recent Mission Possible: The Dana-Farber Campaign to Conquer Cancer initiative, ENPRO helped them reach a fundraising goal of $1 billion. The money raised by the drive was used directly for the development of new and effective treatments for patients.
